On the first Wednesday of every month, Angye Fox and the Fox Jazz Café in Tampa host their monthly Cigar & Wine pairing event. It’s an immensely enjoyable event that includes great conversation with incredibly interesting people, delectable wines to taste, delicious appetizers, and of course, fine handmade premium cigars. Who could pass that up?

All are welcome, especially the "Sisters of the Leaf", as one of Angye’s missions is to get more ladies into smoking cigars. Pairing cigars with wine and appetizers is certainly a great way to make the cigar lifestyle more appealing to women. So guys, bring your wives or girlfriends. There will be other ladies there for them to mingle with, and maybe you’ll get them into cigars and then have more occasions to enjoy them if she does too.

The event is from 6 – 8 pm and is a great way to unwind and treat yourself at the end of the work day in the middle of the week. If you decide to hang out after 8, then you can enjoy some cool jazz and hot beats from one of the live bands inside the fashionable Fox Jazz Café. Smoking used to be allowed inside, and they still have private cigar lockers, but the Florida Clean Indoor Air Act no longer allows smoking in the club. The Cigar & Wine pairing is held on the patio and the weather is really getting nice now. Prometheus, the God of Fire, has smiled down on the Fox Jazz Café Monthly Cigar & Wine Pairing Event with good weather.

On a recent Wednesday when I attended, the featured cigar was the Alec Bradley Prensado Corona Gorda. Wine was provided by Southern Wine & Spirits – a white and a red – Ferrari Carano Bella Luce and Ferrari Carano Cabernet Sauvignon.
